We currently prepare the Biennale International Design Saint-Etienne (France), a unique event in the domain of design through the featured exhibitions and the diversity of attendees. For more information, please find enclosed a presentation document of the Biennale.
The Biennale hosts from March 14th to 31st 2013 the exhibition Singularité. Artworks will be exhibited from March 13th, opening day for professionals.
Curation is managed by the French designers David-Olivier Lartigaud and François Brument.
“An ‘Internet of Things’ world, digital data are breaking free from located computers to create a connected environment in which information passes from one object to the other and can be activated or modified without the need for human intervention. This transformation goes along with the development of artificially intelligent digital devices. Objects are no longer mere vectors; to some extent, they are now beginning to ‘think’ – some are capable of a dynamic behaviour, self-modification, self-adaptation and of ‘understanding’ their user(s) or their own environment.
